ABOUT 'MUSHROOM CONVERSATIONS'

AMEN CANDLES and GALERIE KERNWEINE art installation
is an invitation to a world without plastics.
Plastic only at museums by next generation and biodegradable packaging
affordable and democratic for all is the Purpose.

The Plastic problem is 100% economics, and because of this we can
fix it and ensure a world without plastics by the next generation.

When Plastics were invented in 1907 they were crazy expensive.
Through cost efficiency plastics became so cheap that now it is
impossible to live one day without touching plastic.

AMEN mushrooms carbon negative packaging is a manifesto to
share biodegradable packaging alternatives and has been exhibited with "MUSHROOM CONVERSATIONS" art installation in Stuttgart Galerie Kernweine, Paris Dover Street Market, Design Miami, Uruguay Galeria del Paseo and ANOTHER SPACE during FRIEZE NEW YORK ART FAIR.

ANOTHER SPACE Curator and Founder Estrellita Brodsky:

"As we look back on the eco-activist work by Latin American artists such as Gyulio Kosice, Juan Downey, Gordon Matta-Clark and Nicolás Uriburu, to contemporary artists David Brooks, Clarissa Tossin and Firelei Baez shown at ANOTHER SPACE’s exhibition Stayin’ Alive, we are encouraged by the fashion industry’s initiatives to make a more eco-friendly environment through Mushroom Conversations and Amen Candles!"

GALERIE KERNWEINE Founder Gallerist Mick Orel:

"We live in times of change, social, ecological and economic framework conditions are being redefined. This also requires a different form of communication. That's why we created and curate Mushroom Conversations"

AMEN CANDLES Founder Rodrigo Garcia explains about the Purpose of Mushroom Conversations Art Installation:

“The Plastic problem is 100% economics, and because of this we can fix it and ensure a world without plastics by the next generation. When Plastics were invented in 1907 they were crazy expensive. Through cost efficiency plastics became so cheap that now it is impossible to live one day without touching plastic. AMEN mushrooms carbon negative packaging is a manifesto to share biodegradable packaging alternatives. As a young brand starting in 2020 was a hard decision but we just could not have a 50 hours burn time candle take 500 years to decompose.”

ABOUT AMEN

AMEN is a story about how beings find light within every day. Its revolutionary CO2-negative, circular biodegradable packaging is designed by AMEN from mushrooms; and being presented in a series of art exhibitions, in an effort to share the concept with artists, scientists, foundations, universities and sustainability activists. Our purpose is to relegate plastics to museums and for mushroom packaging to become affordable and available to all.

ABOUT ANOTHER SPACE

ANOTHER SPACE is a not-for-profit program dedicated to presenting the work of Latin American and Latinx artists within a global context. Founded by art historian and collector Estrellita B. Brodsky, as part of the activities of the Daniel and Estrellita B. Brodsky Family Foundation, the program and exhibition space are dedicated to broadening international awareness and appreciation of art from Latin America. ANOTHER SPACE facilitates substantial grants to museums, universities and other institutions to advance research and produce exhibitions and publications in the field of Latin American and Latinx art, and provides a forum for guest-curated exhibitions and educational programs.

ABOUT STAYIN ALIVE

ANOTHER SPACE is pleased to present Stayin’ Alive, an exhibition about survival and resistance. Borrowing its title from the Bee Gees’ disco hit, Stayin’ Alive explores artists' responses in anticipating or coping with social and environmental crises. The exhibition surveys how international artists from various generations, from the early 19th century to the present, have shaped the public’s perception of the environment.

As the world witnesses the effects of misguided policies imposed by those who insist on denying the science of climate change (and science in general), Stayin’ Alive underscores the role artists can play in warning the public of the rapid, often irreversible ecological transformations taking place. Channeling these artists' optimism and defiant resilience, Stayin' Alive reevaluates mankind’s relationship with the environment to rebuild a sustainable future.
